How would you build your company's data roadmap?
What are your favorite processes and tips for building a data science/data analytics/data eng roadmap from scratch at a company that has never had one before?
For the teams I coach I get them to create Information Product canvas (https://wow.agiledata.io/project/information-product-canvas/) to quickly gather all the organisations desires/requires. Then they work to get the Information Products prioritised by stakeholders/customers. This becomes the Information Product delivery roadmap. Then they decompose the highest priority Information Products into a set of data platform features. These are used to create the Data Platform Roadmap and also to prioritise the source systems that will have data collected first. The Information Product roadmap is reprioritised on a regular cadence, and this drives the reprioritisation of the data platform / data collection roadmap. - Edited
